in cleveland without a sleep number.

we'll, here i am in the beautiful city of cleveland. i'm here on "business" but i can't help but try to figure out something fun to do. i don't have a car and the guys i came with are on a different schedule than i. i don't have to work until 8pm tonight, so i have most of the afternoon to fool around.

last night wasn't too bad, but there were a few weird things that went on. our purpose was to install some equipment on a bus, but no one really knew we were and what we were supposed to do. it took a while before we could find someone. we ended up working till about 1:30am before calling it quits. so as we are leaving one of our guys is hungry and talks us into going to denny's. we all went and everyone ordered these huge greasy breakfast meals. wtf? it was only 2, and in colorado it was only midnight. do you know how confused their bodies must have been? i did have some control and didn't order anything, despite the waitress' insistence. so, just because i skipped a 5000 calorie meal in the middle of the night, i feel like i am dieting. i'm sure everyone woke up with a food hangover this morning.

i didn't sleep very well last night. it took me so long to fall asleep. i guess it was all my denny's coffee. this hotel is really nice and they have these sleep number beds. i set it at 45... becasue i didn't have time to read their stupid white paper on sleep numbers. i think 45 was wrong for me. i didn't sleep very well at all.

i've done a little bit of e-mail exchanging and i even went for a walk a little while ago.

i'm having a little career envy today. while on my walk i saw a couple of bike couriers weaving their way through traffic. it snowed last night so riding is probably a little more difficult. it must be a very adventurous job. i would love riding around town in and out of traffic, jumping curves, running lights...i wonder how rewarding it is? if you imagine that everything you deliver will determine the fate of the nation then it is easy to put your life on the line to deliver the message. however if you ever get injured or killed or maimed while delivering a costume jewelry collar to some one's french poodle.... then it might not be worth it.

also on my walk today, i found this really cool deli in the middle of the city. the food was great and plentiful. there were two nice, cute, and friendly waitresses working there and no one really seemed unhappy. i didn't have to try too hard to find something vegetarian.... not that i'm vegetarian or anything....i just don't like to eat meat. anywaay, after eating, it was back to the hotel, and see what everyone else is doing.

no cycling for me
